Wheel building is a passion. An art form that takes years to dial in. Here at Manuka Cycleworks in Threlkeld, all the wheels are hand built with precision and product knowledge, one by one.

With over 10 years of wheel building experience, I take great pride in ensuring that you’ll be rolling on the best wheel possible, which is why I offer a life time of free wheel servicing with every full custom wheel sold at Manuka Cycleworks.

I carry a variety of rims and hubs in stock already. Most wheel builds take up to 7 days to complete, custom carbon wheels can take up to 6-7 weeks.

Hand built wheels start from £290 and go up to £1900+.

Labour for wheel building starts at £48 incl VAT.

Manuka Road wheels

All my custom rims are exactly that - custom. The consultation process is an important part in ordering your set of Manuka wheels. Whether you’re a 60kg or 130kg cyclist, each wheel is tailor made for your application, rider weight and budget. Each wheelset takes roughly up to 6 weeks to complete. However I do have some stock ready to go within a week.

‘35mm All rounder’

ranging from £900 - £1900

Spec: 35mm deep carbon rim, with a Unidirectional carbon weave and a satin-gloss or matte finish. This wheelset offers a 21mm internal, hooked rim, tubeless ready and disc brake only. This rim builds into a 1260g wheelset depending on hub options. Also a great option for CX racing.

‘55mm aero’

ranging from £900 - £1950

Boasting all the same dimensions as ‘The Climber’ apart from being a deeper, more aero 55mm. This rim builds into a 1380g wheelset depending on hub option.

All rims are backed with a 5 year manufacturers warranty and a lifetime of free servicing.

All wheels are available in a satin-gloss or a matte finish, with custom minimalist laser etched logos in dark grey.

‘38mm x 25mm gravel wheel’

ranging from £850 - £1900

Spec: 38mm deep and 25mm internal carbon rim. Featuring hooked or hookless bead, this is a very popular rim for rough gravel rides, touring or even on a road bike suited to 32mm tyres. The benefit of a 25mm internal rim for tyres 32-50mm makes a huge difference to comfort and grip.

‘25 x 24’

ranging from £850 - £1950

With a depth of 25mm and internal width of 24mm. The ‘Gravel Racer’ is a super light, supremely comfortable wheelset that builds up to 1050g. This wheelset is suited to lighter riders 85kg or less.

All rims are backed with a 5 year manufacturers warranty and a life time of free servicing.
